Newly redesigned and reimagined by Fujifilm, this ultra-fast F1.2 lens with an equiv. focal length of approx. 85mm delivers beautiful background bokeh so it's ideal for portraiture.
Improvement highlights include: closer minimum focussing distance, smoother bokeh and centre plus edge sharpness, and incorporating a new AF motor, 11 aperture blades and WR weather-sealing.
The incredible resolving power of the XF 56mm f1.2R WR is possible thanks to a new optical design featuring 13 elements in 8 groups. One ED (extra-low dispersion) elements and TWO double-sided aspherical element are used to control spherical and chromatic aberrations, while a further four of the elements feature convex surfaces to ensure excellent light coverage, even when shooting wide open.
Like other XF lenses, the XF 56mmF1.2 R WR is weather-sealed and designed to be comfortable in use and has a premium quality look and feel.
